The Bio Parent Advocacy Program (BPA) is a new pilot program launching in 2023. It seeks to serve 25+ parents per year who have an open Children's Division case in any county that MEP serves. The program provides services, education, and resources to families as they work toward maintaining or regaining custody of their children, with a goal of increasing family reunifications and reducing time for children in foster case.
The Bio Parent Advocacy Program provides free dignified support and resources for parents with Children's Division cases. Services include:
Peer Support
Counseling

Benefits
For participants: Parents who have Children's Division involvement often lack the support and access to services they need to provide a pathway for healing and reunification with their children. The BPA program provides counseling, easily accessible classes, support and advocacy that helps provide real help and hope for parents in difficult situations.
For the community: Healthy, reunited families isn't just good for families; it is good for our community! By helping provide support and advocacy to keep families together or reunite as quickly as possible we are creating a healthier and happier community.
