Parent Education: We offer an 8hr course that utilizes the Nurturing Parents curriculum. Nurturing Parents curriculum was designed in 1983 to help build nurturing parenting skills as an alternative to abusive and neglectful parenting and practices. Since 1983, the evidence-based Nurturing philosophy has helped families from all over the world to improve their parenting skills. During the course we also touch on proper feeding and burping techniques, appropriate discipline, routines that support healthy development, and how to set good boundaries and rules for a home. *Virtual options available. In person class is held every 3rd Saturday 9am-5pm. Other times offered as needed. Please contact. **We accept CTS funds and self pay. The self pay rate is $100 total, for the full 4 week course.
Anger Management: Anger Management is a 3 hour seated class with a 1 on 1 counseling session where participants will process the skills they have learned and how to apply them to their life.
Co-Parenting: This two-hour seated course, developmed by a certified Mediator, helps parents develop healthy communication skills, practice empathy, and understand the importance of maintaining positive relationships with both parents.
Understanding your child welfare case: This two-hour course is designed for parents with open Children's Division cases to help them better understand the case process, court and Family Support Team (FST) expectations, and timelines. It addresses common questions and confusion that can often lead to feelings of frustration and distrust. Topics include court/FST meeting etiquette, effective communication with caseworkers, understanding hotlines and Points of Entry (POE), child support, and common terminology used throughout the case.
