Missouri Empowerment Project, formerly known as CPR of the Ozarks, is honored to have been awarded a 5 year, $3 million grant to aid families struggling with substance abuse in the Ozarks. This grant will allow CPR to provide intensive services to families in Polk, Dallas, Webster, Laclede, Hickory, and Taney county. |
Program Description
Creating A Village (CAV) will provide an integrated trauma-informed, evidence-based, multiservice approach to identifying and meeting the complex needs of families experiencing substance use disorders and have involvement with Children’s Division. CAV will offer and/or assist in locating treatment services, educational classes aimed to benefit the home environment and family interactions, mental health services, community resources, and building a support system. CAV will provide these highly concentrated, holistic services in the family's environment, helping to reduce the amount of months child(ren) are in out-of-home care or to prevent the child(ren) from coming into state custody. Target Population Families living in the target service areas who are pregnant or have children (infant-18 years old) who are at risk of being placed in out-of-home care or have been placed in out-of-home care due to a caregiver struggling with substance use or dual diagnosis concerns.
